Illinois Veterans for Change, a new political action group co-founded by State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit – Marine veteran, Thomas Day – Army veteran, and Jan Donatelli – Navy veteran, supporting individuals who have served or are still serving in the military, to continue serving in elected office.
Today Illinois Veterans for Change announces their endorsement of Michael Cortina for Appellate Court Judge for the 2nd District in the June 28 primary election. Cortina served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve.
“We formed this organization to stand up for Democrats who served, or are currently serving, in the military, value integrity, and share a commitment to advancing communities while also possessing the toughness necessary to govern,” said Thomas Day, co-chair of Illinois Veterans for Change. “That’s Michael Cortina. In private practice, public service, and in the Army Reserves, Michael has demonstrated a commitment to progress, a dedication to fair and equal justice, and the necessary qualifications to serve on the bench.”
Indo-American Democratic Organization is a leading political advocacy organization for Illinois’ rapidly growing and vibrant South Asian American Community. “We recruit and support candidates who best represent the welfare of our community to run for public office."
Advocates Society is an association of Polish-American attorneys. The purpose of the Society is to promote the welfare of its members; establish and maintain proper relationships with the general public; promote the progress of the law and the administration of justice; maintain the honor and dignity of the legal profession; and to foster interest in Polish-American culture and heritage. Advocates Society has found our candidacy as “Qualified,” the highest rating that can be attained by non-members.
